Well, it's that time of the season, shows are starting to pop up with the warm weather. i found one that is coming up soon in California.

Remnants of the Past will be holding a vintage show on April Saturday, April 24 from 9-4 at the Dana-Powers Property, located at: 535 Mehlschau in Nipomo, Ca. there is a $6 fee to get in with proceeds going towards Habitat for Humanity.

Barn House show this saturday

Barn house, located in Battle Ground, Washington, is having another event this weekend, Aug. 15th. they are bringing out their treasures along with Ma & Pa Willow (of Willow Nest Farm) who are currently on route from Texas with a wagon load of goodness. you can read all the information here with time, directions, etc. here.

If you live in Minnesota or close by, i found this fun event coming up soon. It's called downtown Oronoco gold rush days. Always the 3rd weekend in August from sunrise to sunset.
Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days was established in 1972 and has become one of the biggest and best Minnesota antique shows in the Midwest. i'm heading out to California on tues. for a little R & R. it's my mom's 70th birthday. dillon and i are flying into San Fran, renting a car and then driving towards Yosemite National Park to Bass Lake, where mom lives. Doubt i'll be doing any flea markin while there, but just wanted to let you know where i was! see you when i get back.

and this is abbie, of "Original Abbie" , who worked so hard to bring us Handmade Faire. great job, abbie! abbie is my go to girl when i am having any sort of technical questions. either her or sean usually know the answer! i think she said the number was about 8,000 visitors today - that's awesome!

how cute are these two? this is berd and bee, members of the etsynj street team; although they are leaving us soon to head to graduate school in Atlanta, if memory serves me correct. i just love the banner she created with the bird.

this is my new blog BFF, jill harris of gypsy flea market. i ended up spending most of my time sitting with her at her booth with us chatting. we tossed around some business ideas that i am excited about. we have a lot in common and i feel like i've known her for awhile now. i told her that i met my friend, jane, in almost the same way, when jane stopped by a show i did and we ended up chatting for awhile.

how cute is this onesie? it was created by Marisa, of Purplelicious, another etsynj street team member. that was the first time for us to meet after being online for a few years now.

here is robin, another street team gal. her tent was next to Doreen's and also, Danielle, both of who i neglected to get photos of - so sorry girls! I got a sweet scarf from Doreen, which i'll take a pic of tomorrow and show off. it's very hip and oh-so-me! i'm a scarf addict btw!

i saw this guy ride in on a bike and then i ran into him doing some shopping. he seemed so ying & yang with his biker gear and and teddy bear on his back, so i asked if i could take his picture. abbie said the button at the bottom of his backpack says something kind of funny (she mentioned it in the comments).

another vendor, abbie's friend, who i thought looked adorable with her pregnant belly and wearing one of abbie's t-shirts. (she shared with me, that she didn't really feel all that "adorable") funny, i never felt adorable either when i was pregnant. i just felt like a sweaty, blob.

at the end of the show and i was started to feel really tired from the heat. i really enjoyed seeing everyone, got some great items and some nice gifts (i think everyone felt sorry for me after my little accident yesterday! i should get hurt more often...) abbie gave me a ride back to her tent and then i had to go home. it was a fun, relaxing day.

Locally in NJ, Handmade Faire, Summer of Love, is tomorow at Freedom Park, Medford, NJ. the event is rain or shine. i'll be there showing my support, so hope to see you there!

This is my niece, Erika. isn't she pretty? Her birthday was yesterday and i sent her this vintage prairie dress, a score from one of my flea market outings. How awesome is this to see a young girl wearing vintage? i'm excited because she got her ears pierced, so now i am thinking of earrings i can make for her.

Handmade @ OM baby

yesterday i stopped by the etsynj street handmade show at OM baby, in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. i was suppose to do the show, but forgot that i was working. (too much going on in my world). anyway, it was a beautiful day and great to see my friends who i haven't seen (besides in cyberworld) since the last show in Nov. i had jeff cover for me at the shoppe, which is about a block down from where the show was.

at the last show, i bought some cards from kitty. the cards were photographs of heart shaped rocks and they are so pretty. anyway, she had a few heart shaped rocks on her table and i told her that i collect them. then we were really analyzing one rock in particular and i told her she should make into it a necklace as it was the perfect rock for it, with some interesting indentation that i thought would hold some wire nicely. so look closely at her necklace - it's the same rock. she was so disappointed when she learned i wasn't participating, but then very excited when i showed up to say hi. love it!

the etsyNJ street team is coming together today for a handmade show in Pt. Pleasant, NJ at OM baby on Arnold Avenue. the hours are 12-6. i won't have a booth there today, but i'll be stopping by to take pictures and say hi to everyone.

the Los Angeles renegade craft show show is thisweekend, July 11th and 12th. if you live in the area, check them out. i've heard the shows are great with awesome artists, really unique items and good, old fashion fun. these folks put on a great event (i missed the one in Brooklyn this year, darn it!). Renegade craft also has events, like San Francisco and Chicago too.

On July 31, Aug. 1 & Aug. 2, you can find Reneg ade at Liberty state park, where they will have a tent at "All points West", a music and art festival to be held in Jersey City, NJ

Introduction to my new blog!

Welcome to my new blog! I decided to create this blog since i am a HUGE flea market fan. The trend these days though are flea market extravaganza's and seasonal sales (think "the farm chicks"). It seems that the events are popping up all over the states! i keep alerting my friends on Facebook when i come across these events in their areas, so i thought i'd start a blog for a more centralized location of finding the information i have tracked down. If you know of an event (and by event i mean the kind that are held several times a year, not weekly flea markets), please leave me a comment with the info and i'll blog about it. also, it can be about indie craft shows as well as there are some really cool ones happening these days.
